Education Center

PCC Network Solutions Education Center was founded in 1999 to provide professional instruction on all aspects of design, installation and maintenance of communication systems. As a licensed vendor of the Information Transport Systems Cabling Installation Program developed by BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Service International, Inc.) the industry’s leading not-for-profit telecommunications association.

The Education Center offers courses tailored to a variety of knowledge levels – for students with no experience to students who have worked in the industry for many years. In addition, these courses are taught by instructors who are leaders in the industry. The Education Center offers the opportunity for career advancement by securing the knowledge base essential to succeed in today’s competitive IT environments.

An Assurance of Quality

Cabling installation practices take on an important role in overall system performance. In 1996, BICSI responded to this challenge with the development of the commercial Telecommunications Cabling Installation Training and Registration Program.

In 2004, the widespread use of Internet protocol (IP) prompted BICSI’s redirection from telecommunications to an information transport systems (ITS) focus. At that time, BICSI renamed its award-winning installation program. It is now called the BICSI Information Transport Systems (ITS) Installation Training and Registration Program.

This comprehensive training and testing program gives cabling installers a multilevel career path to follow in pursuit of professional development. BICSI’s installation program allows prospective customers the opportunity to select firms that employ BICSI registered cabling installers who adhere to high quality standards. In addition, a BICSI registration provides employers with a means of measuring the competency of job applicants.
